As a result of Arch’s acquisition of UGC, I lead the transition of company’s general ledger, accounts payable & policy administration systems conversion as the digital product manager. • Successfully converted general ledger from SAP FICO to PeopleSoft GL and Accounts Payable in approximately 3 months, including the integration of SAP FSCD sub-ledger to PeopleSoft GL.• Lead the conversion of SAP FSCD to ARCH IDEA policy administration system, completing 3 months earlier than schedule and saving approximately $1MM in technical support fees.

After completing the transformation to SAP I changed positions to lead a team of IT developers, testers, and project managers totaling 10 staff, to modify and maintain SAP FICO and FSCD systems according to the requirements of UGC’s finance, policy administration and premium processing departments.• Successfully implemented customer servicing enhancements to meet specific requirements of highly valued customers.• Successfully implemented premium processing enhancements that significantly accelerated the accuracy and speed of application of premiums received from customers.

Managed 3 direct reports, 50 indirect reports and a budget of $2.2 million. Responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports for all UGC operations including Statutory reporting for 8 statutory entities, SEC reporting for UGC consolidated group, and coordination of all statutory and GAAP audits. Set all UGC accounting policies, maintained oversight for UGC SOX and MAR programs, reinsurance functions, cash receipts and premium accounting functions.• As a member of the UGC leadership team, successfully led the finance department through the difficulties created by the “Great Recession” and its impact on AIG and UGC. These difficulties include the “near” sale of UGC and the financial and regulatory issues that arose during the high level of mortgage defaults.• Streamlined and enhanced financial close process and reporting to AIG while reducing staff and costs of the controller’s department by more than 20%.• Established and maintained internal control systems that were annually rated as “Well Controlled” by AIG internal audit.
