Accolades earned include four Army Commendation Medals, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Parachutist's Badge, and a NATO Medal for service in Afghanistan. - 1st Deployment: Djibouti, Africa - Planned counter-piracy media support operations in the Horn of Africa and served in the headquarters detachment as an open-source media analyst for several MISO (Military Information Support Operations) teams working throughout eastern and central Africa.- 2nd Deployment: Nairobi, Kenya and Djibouti - Worked in US Embassies with State Department Public Diplomacy personnel to plan, coordinate, and conduct public media campaigns designed to enhance governance and development while meeting US Department of Defense strategic goals. - 3rd Deployment: Nouakchott, Mauritania - Worked at US Embassy with State Department Public Diplomacy personnel on a MISO team to plan and implement public media information campaigns throughout Mauritania. Media products included radio, print, novelty items, public events, sporting competitions, educational campaigns, and culturally-relevant media such as Iftars and cultural celebrations.- 4th Deployment: Jalalabad, Afghanistan - Served in an advisory role to field grade Afghan military Officers, providing consulting in public media campaigning, religious and cultural affairs, public diplomacy, and information operations.
