Led 120-person team responsible for patents/IP litigation during high-profile smartphone patent wars where Apple, Microsoft, Oracle, and others asserted patents against Android. During this period, my accomplishments included the following:• Defended and resolved high-profile disputes against Android brought by competitors, including Apple, Microsoft, Oracle, and Nokia, as well as NPEs (docket of 200 pending cases)• Integrated patent portfolio and personnel following $12.5B acquisition of Motorola• Negotiated first-of-its-kind FTC consent order involving standard essential patents

As 2nd attorney, helped grow legal team to support company growth from 400 to 10,000 employees. Oversaw broad set of legal functions that encompassed majority of department’s attorneys (grew team of 15 from scratch), including global litigation, product counseling, tech transactions, employment legal, privacy, legal operations, M&A support, and Board’s Nominating and Corporate Governance committee. My accomplishments included the following:• Rolled out revised corporate governance policy• Actively involved in all of company’s M&A, including $4B acquisition of Netscreen in 2004• Resolved securities class action suits arising from stock price drop in 2001 and major IP suit brought by Toshiba
