My life experiences have molded me in to a hardworking and focused person. My future goals include establishing a career in environmental health. I have become even more impassioned about environmental issues concurrent with my discoveries of ways to improve soil and water quality and in turn, human and ecosystem health. “The health of soil, plant, animal and man is one and indivisible” Sir Albert Howard (1940). This quote by the father of modern organic agriculture emphasizes soil health as being integrally linked with the health of man. I believe this to be true and seek to solve societal, economic, and human health problems by focusing on soil and water health. Scientific research has its origins in a fundamental human character—curiosity. It is important though, to ask the right question(s). My studies so far have raised many questions and I will be one of the people working towards the answers.I have earned several certifications; Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI), Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ), Certified Stormwater BMP Inspection & Maintenance Professional, NCDOT Level I: Certified Erosion and Sediment Control/Stormwater Site Inspector/Installer, NCDOT Level II: Certified Erosion and Sediment Control/Stormwater Site Manager, as well as attended numerous seminars, workshops, webinars, etc. in pursuit of excellence in my chosen field.
