Currently working on process automation for NOC Operations and Provisioning groups, on the largest fiber optic network in North America. I am a technical lead for a team of developers who produce automation that will use network and inventory based data to determine optimal paths through the network to provision new customer services for service delivery teams, as well as automations that will perform root cause analysis, fault correlation, and service impact analysis for service assurance teams. Lastly, we use those same path computation automations, coupled with machine learning algorithms, to create AI-based APIs to provide predictions on how long each step in the service delivery process will take.Prior to this, I was technical lead for a team that at times consisted of 20+ developers, creating automations that would intercept fault management system alarms an events and act on them to either diagnose and fix the issue, route the issue to the relevant NOC group for manual intervention, or dispatch field technicians to fix the problem. These automation processes can also perform network audits to correct non-standard network configurations, upgrade software on network devices, or other functions outside of a fault management platform. We also automated the process of updating network systems with device inventory data when new devices are commissioned, or when existing device information is modified. Earlier in my career, I was a Network Engineer, troubleshooting, fixing, redesigning and optimizing the nationwide Centurylink data network. I was also a SME for various services and platforms such as Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Adtran, Rad, and Juniper devices on Ethernet, IP, ATM, and MPLS networks.

I basically rode around Orlando chasing fire trucks and police cars shooting spot news. Then I would get interviews with officials and witnesses, and negotiate sales of the video to the local news stations as well as CNN and the AP.
