The IT Department supports 800+ staff, over 5500 students, with over 3000 desktops and laptops, across thirteen facilities in Marion, SC.; Currently working on project that would consolidate three network server rooms into one. New server room will have UPS power, along with generator for the servers, network equipment and air conditioning.Responsible for Backup solution project. Tested several systems and made recommendation for purchase. Installed system and setup all district servers for backupAssisted in consolidation all the districts servers into the central office. This also involved reconfiguring all district applicationsSetup universal imaging process, where all machines can be reimaged with a single image.Setup automatic software installation for all network applications.Setup and maintained new Lightspeed Systems appliance, to perform content filtering, and spam filtering.Configuring district wide printers on network.Maintained Network Infrastructure and all computer workstations.

The IT Department supports 200+ computer users, with over 700 desktops and laptops, across six facilities in Marion, SC. During the time I was with them, the district went through a consolidation with a neighboring district.Key Projects and Achievements:Consulted with architects on requirements for new school building.Headed up project to combine two different school districts’ networks.Headed up group of technicians to reconfigure one of the consolidated district’s computers for use on the network of other district’s network.Maintained Network Infrastructure and all computer workstations.

This job started out in service department fixing customer’s computers. It was mostly learning on the job. It soon led to working on computers for home users, educational sites, and businesses.
