About Allen Klein

After earning a Ph.D. in Industrial / Organizational Psychology I began my career in the corporate world where, over the years, there was plenty of excitement – restructuring and downsizing in the steel industry, mergers and acquisitions in banking, and the perennial “War for Talent.” After 20+ years it was time for a different adventure. I founded my own consulting practice and gave it a very stodgy moniker – Human Capital Strategies. I worked with a variety of client companies on succession planning, performance management, leadership development and competency profiling, and experienced a sense of accomplishment from helping a company build the capability to enhance business performance. As I enter the seventh inning of my career, I still enjoy consulting, but my time is also devoted to career transition coaching where I am gifted with the opportunity to help very bright and accomplished people find new jobs. In the tenth inning, if the game goes into overtime, I am thinking about volunteering – advocating for those with too few advocates, a long list.
