Hi, I'm Allison! 🦄I'm a software engineer with a strong foundation in Python, GoLang, JavaScript/TypeScript and containerized cloud computing solutions. Over the years, I've worked on a range of systems design and cloud projects, including managing and scaling services using Docker and Go in GCP or Self Hosted environments, as well as handling ETL pipelines and data integration efforts. I enjoy tinkering in my free time on personal projects —like my self hosted Plex media server stack— and as such I’ve grown deeply familiar with remote management of a Linux ecosystem and leveraging hardware acceleration in a containerized environment.At Parsec, I’ve had the opportunity to dive into everything from fully scalable SaaS web apps to CI/CD pipelines and deep data analytics in BigQuery, all while collaborating in hybrid and remote environments. The journey has taught me the value of constant learning and has shown me that there's nothing quite like solving problems with a strong, collaborative team.In my free time, I keep my creative side alive with digital art and tattooing. For me, it’s all about balance—keeping both the analytical and creative parts of my brain in tune. I also manage the web presence and digital marketing for a local tattoo studio, helping the artist focus on their work while I handle the tech side. It’s been a rewarding way to merge business tech solutions with my love for helping others.When I'm not coding or creating, you can usually find me hanging out with my two chinchillas, playing my Ukulele, or finally getting around to watching the movies on my Plex server. 😊
