I led a dynamic team of child educators and clinical professionals focused on mental health promotion, trauma-informed care, and social-emotional development. I facilitated multiple cross-sector collaborations to address diversity & inclusion, poverty & basic needs, early childhood, teen substance use & suicide prevention. I oversaw fund development for the nonprofit, which included government and foundation grants, direct mail, social media marketing, and special event planning.

After six years as a SAHM and self-employed parent coach, I jumped back into the nonprofit sector to support other parents, promote healthy child development,preschool accessibility and kindergarten readiness. I fostered community and built trust among parents through creative toddler playgroups and engaging workshops.

I connected donors to gardeners and urban farmers in South Providence, Rhode Island. I cultivated opportunities for the public to support transformative community gardens, micro-business development and a sustainable, healthy, local food system. I oversawpopular fundraising events including garden tours, plant sales and a good ol’ hoe down.

I managed all corporate and foundation giving to Rhode Island’s largest anti-hungerorganization. I was responsible for grant research, writing and project evaluation, aswell as corporate event sponsorship, private donor events and major gift cultivation.I enjoyed training staff and volunteers at member food pantries and meal sitesaround the basics of budgeting, grant writing, goal setting and outcome measurement.

I administered Federal and State grant programs for municipalities and nonprofits in theTaconic Region of New York. In this role, I supported grant applicants in understanding funding requirements and eligibility criteria, provided guidance toward application completion and ultimately reviewed and rated all grant applications for park projects, construction of recreation facilities and preservation of historic sites. I routinely conducted site visits throughout the region and accounted for all grant expenditures.
