About Allison Choong

I am an Honors with Distinction student at Drexel University, pursuing a BS in Criminology & Justice Studies and a BA in Sociology. My degree is fully funded through the Drexel Global Scholarship.As the co-author and illustrator of "Safiya Speaks Up," a children's book empowering young girls to respond to violence, I have been by Women of The Future Southeast Asia and Canon Young Champion of the Year. My work has led me to speak at various prestigious platforms, including the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW-68) @ New York City, Global Engagement Summit @ Northwestern University, BFM Malaysia and Women of the Future @ Singapore.My work focuses on advocating for justice, education, and empowerment, with a long-term goal of contributing to meaningful social change. I'm passionate about using my skills in research, writing, and data analytics to create impactful work that resonates with diverse communities.
