Hi, I’m Allison. I love creative problem-solving....Allison Coleman is a User Experience Developer for Sacramento State. She graduated from CSU Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Digital Media, minoring in both Computer Science and Art. Experienced in design for both print and web, in addition to both front- and back-end web development, her diverse background encompasses multiple industries, including higher education, marketing and advertising, and information technology.Allison's professional journey began in 2009 with an on-campus position as a Web Development Assistant, where her most notable project was CSU Bakersfield’s 40th anniversary website. After graduating with honors in 2010, Allison moved on to a Web Developer position with Saba Agency, where she created and maintained websites for local businesses and organizations.In 2011, Allison joined ARRC Technology and CharTec, taking on the position of Graphic Designer/Web Developer. As the companies' first in-house designer, she built their design repository from the ground up while managing all print and web-based design projects, conducting training sessions, and maintaining the corporate websites. Her work was later featured in The Bakersfield Californian's popular lifestyle and wellness magazines, Bakersfield Life and B Well.Prior to joining the CSU, Allison served as a Web Developer for MD Manufacturing, Inc., where her most significant projects included rebuilding the company’s retail website and email templates to adhere to responsive web design standards. Allison is passionate about both the creative and technical aspects of her career field, and continuously strives to excel in all areas. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Information and Interaction Design through the University of Baltimore.
