Allison has been involved in the Faith-Based sector for over 30 years with a particular focus on leadership development, participatory training and capacity building. Over the years she has had the privilege of working and ministering in Australia and in thirteen other countries in a wide variety of areas that have included:• Mindfulness meditation, Monastic meditation, and other meditation practices• Community building• International community development (in the area of water, sanitation, hygiene)• International health (hospitals and clinics)• Leadership training and development (including personal development, mentoring, vision/mission coaching)• Playgroups (including developing an international playgroup training course to assist churches in establishing culturally relevant, socially appropriate groups)• Women’s ministry • Student ministry (including pioneering groups on a number of campuses)• Preaching/training /public speakingMost recently she has been on the forefront of developing a “hybrid” community that meets both face to face and in the “virtual” space. The physical space is in the Docklands precinct of Melbourne and comprises those who live/work in that area. The “virtual” community is made up of those who are now working from home/remotely as well as folk from all over the world!Part of this work has included facilitating various meditation practices including Mindfulness, Meditate to Re-create, and Christ-centred practices for the past eight years.
