The team was responsible for all commercial liability insurance related matters, including auto claims, workers compensation for a high-risk industry, professional liability matters, and construction defects. ● Handle complex and major claims in all U.S. jurisdictions, including large construction defect litigation and catastrophic injury claims, from investigation through settlement, trial, and appeal.● Oversaw the handling and management of all construction, business, and professional licensing requirements for 8 operating entities across all 50 states.● Reviewed and negotiated proposed contract clauses to ensure adequate risk protection for potential liability claims. ● Provided trainings alongside the Safety team on dangers faced in the industry, common claims, and risk mitigation strategies. ● Advised on employment-related considerations in the handling of sensitive or controverted workers’ compensation matters, including discrimination concerns, negotiating releases, and ADA obligations.● Oversaw insurance policy renewals for all liability lines, and continuously analyzed coverage to best meet risk management needs.
