My job skills start out in the medical field. I started my working career as a nurse assistant. Having great people skills is the number one most important thing when working in health care. As a nurse assistant, I not only dealt with my patients, but also with their families. This kind of job can be very rewarding when you have a happy patient, however, I wanted to expand my knowledge. I briefly worked in sales during the busy holiday season. While doing that, I also got certified in phlebotomy. Working in the blood bank earned me so many customer experiences both good and bad. I was faced with many situations and was able to learn from each one. My expertise extended to training and supervising. During my time as a phlebotomist, I also went to school to finish my associate degree. Once I was finished with this I got licensed as a pharmacy technician, which is where I work today. A similarity in these jobs is having to be proficient in different computer programs. I excel at this! I have excellent computer skills and can pick up new skills very quickly. Another big thing in these professions is having to be amazing at customer service skills. In every position I have held, I have been on the front line for our customers. I enjoy customer interaction and it shows in my work! Most recently I have reached out into the world of money. Having worked as a payment representative for over a year, I have learned so much. This being a quota job, I have excelled at keeping my monthly numbers above average with little to no errors each month. I have continued to keep my customer service excellent, even though my services are no longer in person but over the phone.
