Lead accessibility and inclusion efforts in partnership with the broader Access & Equity team, other teams company-wide, and education partners nation-wide, to ensure increased access and engagement for all. This includes an ongoing focus on usability through the application of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, inclusive design best practices, and guidelines for representation in our content. Active participant in company-wide and industry-wide inclusion efforts, including serving as an Executive Sponsor for Employee Resource Groups and as a member of the W3C Accessibility for Children working group and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) Assessment, Standards, and Education for Students with Disabilities (ASES) collaborative .

Collaborating with teams company-wide to ensure the continuous improvement and clear documentation of the accessibility of our products. Ensuring our approach to accessibility goes beyond compliance and focuses on usability, with input and collaboration from students, educators and families who will be using accessibility features and accommodations with our products. Additional focus on the application of Universal Design for Learning principles, anti-ableism, and disability representation in our products. Active participant in industry-wide accessibility conversations, including the W3C Accessibility for Children working group, CCSSO ASES Collaborative, and the ATP Ed Tech and Accessibility SIG.

Centralized and supported our accessibility efforts throughout the company as part of the formation of the Access and Equity team, with a focus on clearly documenting current status and future enhancements for all accessibility efforts. Worked with teams company-wide to define approach to accessibility to ensure it is central to our efforts as a company moving forward, including identifying key partners and advisors.

Managed producers working on a variety of accessibility and reading digital instruction initiatives, and oversaw roadmap and scrum team focussed on the accessibility of our personalized instruction lessons.

Led cross-functional product teams on a variety of digital instruction reading projects, including the creation of our first HTML5 lessons, and subsequently hundreds of new vocabulary and reading comprehension lessons. Managed producers working on a variety of reading initiatives.

Served as lead interactive producer on a variety of educational technology programs and games, including projects for Scholastic Education, Sesame Workshop, Fred Rogers Company, Nickelodeon and PBS.

Supported my graduate studies in educational technology by working on interactive media projects for Martha Speaks, Arthur and Design Squad Nation.
