Recruiting: Responsible for anticipating talent needs and addressing them through proactive and effective recruiting, and staffing by utilizing the most efficient methods to locate the most qualified and diverse candidates for exempt and non exempt positions. Develop short and long term goals to ensure a realistic flow of qualified applicants is maintained in the pipeline. Conduct interviews and gather information on all job applicants and ensure their skill sets match the business’s needsLegal Compliance: Provide timely information, research, consultation and technical assistance to other senior managers including but not limited to state and federal laws, e.g., FMLA, wage and hour regulations, the American with Disability Act, Worker’s Compensation, and Unemployment Compensation, OSHA regulations and WOTC. Serve as the liaison for corporate legal counsel.On-Boarding: Facilitate the two day employee orientations to new employees covering benefits and compensation, overview of employee safety program, and comprehensive training on work rules and expected conduct at the workplace. Provide detailed briefings on benefits such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance, 401K, and ESPP for all exempt and non-exempt employees. Employee Relations: Partner with senior managers to resolve needs and concerns of employees, whileensuring the best interests of all parties are maintained. Mentor other managers to improve people management skills. Conduct monthly employee focus group meetings and work with other senior managers to formulate action plans to resolve issues addressed.Training and Development: Facilitate the store’s training program to ensure all employees are trained to standards necessary for their jobs. Partner with other senior managers in the succession planning of exempt employees, identifying opportunities for further professional growth and training needs. Work with managers at all levels to screen employees for leadership training.
