Lead a National team charged with creating and evolving TFA’s perspective on excellent teaching and learning, develop aligned resources and learning experiences for Corps Members and Alumni across our 45 regions and broader network. Develop team vision and strategy and manage a 10+ person team of content area specialists to design and implement innovative, contextualized, relevant approaches to teacher development. Design and lead large-scale programs which blend centralized programming and community-specific approaches. Ensure our constituents receive best in class training and resources that result in excellent outcomes for students in the communities where we work. Lead team's budget management, oversee grant applications and grant implementation. Partner with teams across the organization and in the broader field to contribute to and push the established knowledge base, stay on the vanguard of teaching and learning. Pilot new programs that accelerate our impact to our 2030 goal.

Supported 15 TFA regional teams across the country in developing and executing excellent Corps Member (1st and 2nd year teachers) and Alumni programming. Developed and implemented an organizational approach to 'Continuous Improvement'. Leveraged the diversity and scale of our network through the design and facilitation of cross-regional and network learning opportunities. Provided leadership development and management coaching to program leaders.

Developed and sustained learning communities to understand effective program strategies and collaborate on promising practices aligned towards a core set of key performance metrics.

Managed 30+ curriculum and assessment team members in developing and ensuring high-quality curriculum materials, programming, instruction, and professional learning. Initiated and supported a departmental priorities-based budgeting process with aligned accountability milestones. Secured over 3M in external funding for expanded National Math and Science (NMSI) programming at three additional schools and new STEAM programming at four schools. Certified Equity Affiliate and member of the District Equity Leadership Team, a partnership with Pacific Educational Group focused on deepening understanding of race and equity while examining policies, programs, structures, and culture to create systemic change to ensure high levels of achievement for all students. Served as the District lead for Aspen Network’s Urban Literacy Leadership Network and The Charles A. Dana Center’s Urban Mathematics Leadership Network. Oversaw $8M National Science Foundation funded 4-year collaborative project with University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University and the Education Development Center (EDC). Was elected in 2013 to the College Board Middle States Regional Council

Led the District's approach to Advanced Placement (AP), developed and implemented a new Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEM) model, developed and managed new District initiatives. Recognized by the College Board as 2012 “Outstanding Educator of the Year” for work around AP programming. Secured three years of grant funding (1M) and first Pennsylvania partnership with the National Math + Science Initiative (NMSI) with the goal to increase access to and success in STEM and English AP courses, particularly among minority students. Directly supported K-12 Math, Science and Social Studies in curriculum development and production, strategic communication, Common Core implementation, and development of professional learning priorities.

Redesigned the District's policies and approach to Gifted and Talented programs to make access equitable and responsive to students across the District. Implemented a shift from gifted (IQ-based) to gifted and talented (achievement-based) programming 9-12, giving high-achieving, non-gifted students the opportunity to enroll in Honors courses for the first time. Wrote and secured over $1.2M in additional funding in both local funding and federal grants to expand the District’s Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programming, specifically focused on increasing enrollment and AP/IB scores for low-income and minority students; resulted in 20% overall enrollment increase and 130% African American enrollment.

Managed, renovated, and developed the non-profit’s three core programs while implementing new policies and procedures to increase and measure impact of programming on kids. Published first ever “RIF Best Practices” with RIF National Organization and the 5 country’s 5 largest RIF sites.

Developed and taught English curriculum for grades 9-11; realized 2+ years in student growth in reading.
