As an associate credit underwriter, I directly support three Relationship Managers with the ongoing management and growth of their commercial portfolios. I review the financial performance of businesses in a variety of industries in the Greater Toronto Area, with a particular focus on risk mitigation paired with business development. I am responsible for the underwriting of credit applications for existing and new to bank customers. In addition, I also have an active role in training new credit analysts.

As an analyst on the loan syndications team, I assisted in the coordination, execution, and ongoing management of HSBC led syndicated loans across Canada. My responsibilities included reviewing legal documentation, preparing information submitted by borrowers for presentation, drafting memorandums outlining amendments to existing credit agreements, and corresponding with other financial institutions. My responsibilities included assisting Business Development Managers and their clients directly in the Receivables Finance approval process. I was also involved in the creation of procedures and guidelines regarding the risk ratings of clients utilizing the Receivables Finance platform.
