Through Allison Smith Design, I offer both residential and commercial interior design services. My core company based in Portland, Oregon, Allison Smith Decorate with What You Own Interiors ®, makes decorating fun and affordable. Large or small, every project begins and ends with my belief that color is the foundation for design, and the right palette is essential to decorating success.

Early on in my design career, friends and family invited me over and asked if I could redecorate using furnishings and objects they already had. I would send them off, have the house to myself and find my inspiration. I really enjoyed the process of simply decorating with what they owned, and so decided to launch Allison Smith Decorate with What You Own Interiors®. This service has become one of the cornerstones of my business. I now include paint palettes and modest purchases along with the process of using what each client owns to recreate a look that identifies and personalizes their home.
