I was employed in Marelli's Advanced Engineering and New Concepts Group. I worked on infotainment development. While in this role, I:- Decreased option choices by 7% through an aggregate Vue.js component that mimicked an arcade.- Implemented a news feed utilizing JavaScript Promises, Node.js, and Vuex to display articles on a topic of a user’s choosing.- Created animation shapes for a proof-of-concept avatar character using Blender shape keys, which was then implemented into a Vue.js component via Three.js functions.- Updated workplace documentation on a company Wikipedia page is order to facilitate accelerated employee onboarding and project management.

I was chosen as one of ten participants from over 400 candidates to partner with a start-up in Michigan through the Hacker Fellows Internship Program. During my time at Lingco Language Labs, I was able to:- Use HTML and CSS/SASS to develop the marketing website alongside the COO. Together, we improved the sales text, as well as implemented new pages to lower the website's overall bounce rate.- Develop a preliminary understanding and appreciation for React JS. Using React, I contributed to small-scale UX features, such as implementing an autofill document title.- Gain experience in writing funding proposals by creating the submission essay for the National Science Foundation’s Small Business Innovation Research fund, placing Lingco in contention for up to $225,000 in seed funding

My position as Apprentice Engineer I at DENSO Corporation allowed for me to gain a lot of foundational experiences in the automotive industry. Projects I worked on included:- Writing VBA to create a program that allowed engineers to work with the sales team to determine a viable piece price cost for HVAC components based on expected quantity.- Leading the phase I development process for a functional parts tester. I researched necessary performance measurements and articulated expectations to 3rd party suppliers, making business decisions as to the most cost-effective and customizable proposal.- Developing a physical prototype for an HVAC system element to be used in the completion of a design patent.

I managed a research project from conception to completion in parallel with Dr. Wen Li of Michigan State University's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. During my time with Dr. Li, I was able to:- Work in a research laboratory environment, learning proper safety rules for working with chemicals and electrical equipment.- Write a conference paper and create a poster presentation for the IEEE NEMs 2017 Conference- Assist university students in learning how to take over the project upon my completion.Through their efforts, an academic journal paper was submitted in December of 2017 to IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology.
