University of South Florida alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and concentration in biological, social & behavioral science. At USF, I focused my academic coursework on advocacy, social determinants of health, and social disparities. I was interested in taking this knowledge to an academic setting. More specifically, understanding how access to [or lack of] housing, healthy food, and technological resources influence academic success.I am equally interested in rebuilding educational opportunity by addressing systemic barriers, welcoming different cultural practices, and creating more accessible health resources in order to prioritize mental health and wellbeing.I enjoy a rewarding career in academic advising, which has given me great experience analyzing situations, listening effectively, communicating clearly, and problem-solving. I have always been interested in carrying these skills to a higher education setting. That is why I joined Saint Leo University; I love to collaborate with graduate students to provide academic support and planning.
