About Allison Ward

I am a Registered Nurse of 9 years-currently holding a position as RN supervisor of Mercyhealth’s Endoscopy department in Janesville, WI. I graduated from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree in Nursing in December, 2014. I am interested in nursing as a career because I want to give back to others the excellent patient care I observed after my step father was in the hospital for 6 weeks after a life-threatening car accident. I am not only doing this for myself, but for others--for a job and a title I can be proud of and look forward to going to everyday. I truly believe that a career in nursing is a career that I will enjoy doing and will support my need for continuous learning even after graduation. I work in healthcare because this is what interests me the most.I have 6 months experience working as a graduate nurse-registered nurse at Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 4 years experience working as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital on the orthopedic/neurology unit, and 5 years experience working as a registered nurse/charge nurse at Mercyhealth Endoscopy department. I have excellent resident/patient relations skills and have been told I am friendly, patient, and caring. I am also a very organized and punctual worker. I have 5 years of experience working as a certified nursing assistant and I also have several nursing clinical educational experiences including orthopedics at Meriter Hospital in Madison, neuro-rehab at UW Hospital in Madison, postpartum and obstetrics at St. Mary's in Madison, pediatric oncology at UW American Children's Hospital in Madison, and community health nursing at the Rock County Health Department in Janesville, WI.I also have 6 months experience working as a graduate nurse-registered nurse at Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 4 years experience working as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital on the orthopedic/neurology unit, and 5years experience working as a registered nurse/charge nurse at Mercyhealth Endoscopy department.
