I am an early career geoscientist with experience working with geologic, geotechnical, geophysical, biogeochemical, and geospatial data. I am a team player, who greatly enjoys being both a leader and follower in collaborative environments. I am not afraid to give it the old fashioned try, learn new things, and am always ready to step out of my comfort zone. Currently, I sit on a team of geoscientists at ERDC who solve geophysical research problems encountered by our Armed Forces and USACE civil personnel. I collect, process, and interpret near surface seismic data. I have done so with both passive and active source data.I look forward to a career as a geoscientist learning how to better protect our environment, create community understanding of geoscience, and meet human energy demands efficiently. I strive to share my knowledge with others by presenting to both the scientific and general audience.Graduate school background:In my graduate research, I studied the Mississippi River Delta Quaternary sediment and its associated mechanical and transport processes, and near surface geophysical acquisition and processing.I was part of a statewide academic/industry project examining fault characteristics in order to aid the Louisiana Master Plan in picking sites of critical infrastructure and marsh restoration under the RESTORE Act and the Centers of Excellence research grant.I am an excellent presenter, winning awards in scientific presentations at the university, state, and regional level. I represented ULL in the regional Three Minute Thesis (TM) competition in 2020, where I learned the great importance of how to translate an extremely technical topic to a general audience in brief, with the added bonus of doing so in under 3 minutes!
