My role as a student goes far beyond the classroom. I am a researcher, an ambassador, a dietitian. I believe that nutrition has the power to heal and transform people's lives despite if they are in the hospital or living a healthy life at home. The importance of nutrition and education on people's lives is indescribable, I look forward to the day when I can treat and educate people in my future years as a dietitian. Completing clinical, community, and foodservice rotations, I have grasped various skills helping me exceed as a practicing dietitian. My experience in patient care both in and out of the hospital setting has provided me with a diverse perspective that will enhance my performance with people of various cultures and backgrounds.I look forward to continuing my career as a dietitian once completing my masters degree. I am interested in opportunities in the clinical and research fields in hopes to gain hands on experience before returning to school to work on my PhD.
