• Organization and conducting of research projects with a team of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from various universities.• Collaboration with researchers from Brown, Harvard, and Stanford on exploring the efficacy of text-based chatbots for undergraduate student support. Qualitative work including, but not limited to, the conduction of end-of-semester, semi-structured, interviews to gather insight and feedback on the experience of collaborating in the development and implementation of the course chatbot. Interviews are conducted with staff, faculty, and students at a range of universities across the nation. • Managing of the Pathways Network website — Pathways Network connects researchers working to develop shared concepts and techniques to take advantage of new data and computational power. • Assistance with qualitative data analysis, literature reviews, and reviews/completion of IRB updates for the Longitudinal Cohort Study (LCS) at the Graduate School of Education. Additionally, I assist with various other research projects within the GSE through the guidance of my principal investigator.

Types of support included sitting and caring for residents, assisting staff with personal care and transfers, helping cook and serve meals for patients and families, housekeeping, gardening, and daily tasks. Personally, the most important part of this role was offering companionship to terminally ill residents who are without family or friends. Providing compassion, dignity, and comfort to people in their last weeks of life is the duty of Mission Hospice Direct Care Volunteers.
