I am a former college-level English and communications instructor with 10 years of teaching experience. These days, I craft strategic communications for climate justice initiatives that prioritize black, brown, low-income, rural, and disabled communities on the frontlines of climate change. Being an adult educator made me a quick thinker, adept communicator, and humane storyteller, the backbone of which is my passion for supporting real Oregonians living and working across the state. I merged this with a strong racial and gender equity lens that I achieved by completing trainings such as a Transgender Education and Advocacy Workshop by Basic Rights Oregon and Hard Conversations: Intro to Racism, co-facilitated by Patti Digh and Victor Lee Lewis. For fun, I write poetry and run a reading series called Submission, which earned a Regional Arts and Culture Council grant in 2019. My skills are writing, editing, copywriting, content creation, social media, training materials, and instructional design.
