The role is to develop and maintain good working relationships with all Micro and SME's (50 Employees or less) within Mid and East Antrim ensuring all businesses understand the support through the suite of programmes funded by Council, Invest NI and European Regional Development Fund. There are two programmes available, Business Escalator Plus and Digital Boost, both give SMEs the opportunity to grow and create new jobs by offering free mentoring support. I am responsible for identifying and recruiting business onto the programmes, providing advice and making sure that any issues/problems are addressed immediately

This role involved managing various business support initiatives available to the college from the Department for the Economy. I was responsible for targeting and recruiting businesses onto the programmes and Project Managing their journey of support. In order to successfully deliver the programmes I was engaging with SMEs to offer solutions in terms of support, upskilling and advice to meet their needs identified through a training needs analysis. The role allowed me to develop andmaintain good working relationships with employers and ensure all clients understood the full product/service portfolio offered by the college.
