• This role is based within the Continuous Improvement and Quality department of the main UK manufacturing site. Responsibilities include:
• Routine testing of finished product plasterboard and compounds, intermediates and raw materials within a busy quality control laboratory to EN520 and ISO 9001 specification
• Ensuring all testing is completed as per the Quality Plans
• Training and mentoring of all new starters in the laboratory
• Calibration and maintenance of equipment, including management of external calibration contracts
• Consumables stock management, sourcing suppliers and ordering when required

• This role is split between working in the laboratory as a quality control analyst and working as part of an office based team focusing on:- Customer interaction- Modernising and maintaining the systems of work within.
• Stability coordinator – following the process from customer requests to set down, organising testing and writing detailed analysis result reports for the customer.
• Modernising analysis write ups from free writing to proformas to help error proof write ups, make them uniform and also to reduce write up and checking time.
• Reorganising the layout of the laboratory in line with 5S to make it more user friendly.
• Introduction of a delay log to monitor reoccurring delays, find the route cause and reduce lost time.

• Responsibilities included:
• Testing finished product pharmaceuticals within a busy quality control laboratory using HPLC, UV, Karl Fischer and other wet chemistry techniques to cGMP and cGLP compliance and FDA, MRHA standards.
• Product validation and stability testing with reporting of results to project leaders.
• The role also encompasses laboratory housekeeping and involvement with improving laboratory health safety including carrying out risk assessments and chemical risk assessments

• This role is based within the operations division of the company in the quality control laboratory at one of the UK manufacturing sites.
• Testing Active pharmaceutical Ingredients and raw materials in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory using a combination of wet testing, HPLC and GC to cGMP and cGLP compliance and FDA standards.
• Responsibilities also include calibration and maintenance of equipment, checking analysis, receipting batches and updating workbooks.
• Role also encompasses Lean and Six-Sigma based Continuous Improvement projects including a standard work plan and monitoring and management of supplier delays resulting in cost saving.
• Daily use of computer systems such as SmartLab, Empower and LIMS (laboratory information management system)
