At what point does a job become a career? A career a vocation? I was writing deeply after a series of calls and too many emails for personal project with a long time employer. In hopes of increasing both customer and employee satisfaction, I had been analyzing internal communication and customer touch-point inefficiencies. I found myself wanting for a way to help more people. So, I started a company to help small businesses, Koikeiosis: Koi fish are known for continuing their efforts up stream, no matter the current. Oikeiosis is the stoic understanding of belonging to oneself. The plan has been to utilize my knack for problem solving, tech specialties, and love of creating efficiencies. To fill that want with the growth of others. The projects, though each has been satisfying, has left a greater thirst for a bigger impact. Realizing my need for a more efficient way to pull and organize vast amounts of data, I began Google's Data Analytics Certificate. I'm now scraping websites using R, and applying my new knowledge to projects and hobbies as I seek, and hope, to find a position that complements my passion, Fashion Design. My friends and co-workers who know my Jiu Jistu practicing, obstacle course racing side, the move to align with fashion was a shock. Now to find a position with a company impacting the fashion industry in a sustainable, ethical way.That would point me towards the impact I crave.
