I currently work as a substance abuse clinician at Recovering Champions, a premier addiction treatment center that offers evidence-based and holistic programs tailored to each individual's needs and goals.As a substance abuse clinician at Recovering Champions, I provide intensive, individual and group counseling services to adults 18+ with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder. I oversee the implementation of individualized treatment plans, have regular contact with other members of the treatment team, identify ongoing issues needing to be addressed prior to discharge, and plan aftercare treatment services as required. I use various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care to help clients develop coping skills, identify triggers, and prevent relapse. I also support clients in building healthy relationships, enhancing self-esteem, and improving quality of life.
