As the Operations and Advocacy lead at Empty Kitchens Full Hearts SCIO (a charity that provides free meals to people in need, free of charge or judgement), I use my extensive food industry experience and gastronomy knowledge to manage the daily operations, oversee the procurement and facilities, and advocate for the cause of food security and sustainability. I have been working with this organization since September 2020, initially as a senior facilities and procurement officer, and then as a director of operations and advocacy since June 2021.Before joining Empty Kitchens, Full Hearts, I was a food consultant and bespoke caterer at ALMA Dining, a hospitality consultancy that I founded in 2019. I have also worked as a head chef at several renowned restaurants in Edinburgh and abroad, including The Wee Restaurant, Malmaison, Celler de can Roca, and Bravo 24. I have over 20 years of experience in the food industry, and I hold a Master of Science in Gastronomy from Queen Margaret University. I am passionate about creating and delivering high-quality, innovative, and ethical food experiences that celebrate the diversity and richness of culinary cultures and traditions.
