I am a software developer and I was a scientist. I have expertise in software development and perception science, just to name a few. (I had expertise in lots of other things but those skills are a bit dated by now.)I prefer coding in C#, C++, and Java; and I'm handy with Python and bash scripts. I prefer to use Linux but I'm not bad on Windows and I can get by on a Mac.I have a PhD from the Center for Perceptual Systems at UT Austin. My dissertation included a rigorous analysis of a difficult problem in vision science (and computer vision). The research approach was related to natural scene statistics, ideal observer analysis, and machine learning.
Listed skills include Machine Learning, Algorithms, Statistics, Image Processing, and 45 others.
