• Visual tests and magnetic particle inspection on support rollers, torpedo bridge, hot metal ladle, vac degasser vessel, cranes, amertherm fans, blowpipes, BOS reline rig, test house pipe sample safety cage etc.• Created a fully automated polishing process which reduced bottleneck in the polishing and hardness of pipe pieces, and resulted in long term savings by freeing staff to do other jobs.• Monitored concast rolls by measuring heat transfers between slabs / rolls to ensure that no excessive heat was lost to achieve savings.• Conducted daily radiography tests in blast furnace to check for hot spots in order to maintain safety standards on-site for co-workers.• Conducted thermography tests on blast furnace, LMF electrode conductors, electrode conductors and 66KV switches.• Carried out ultrasonic inspection techniques on boilers in the power station: including water tankers, bulk acid tank etc.• Created job specifications, analysed data, finalised job reports and presented findings to senior management.• Operated band saws, power drills, micro-furnaces, sand belts, grinders, cutters and power stampers.• Ensured strict compliance with all Health and Safety policy, procedure and legislation.• Worked at heights and in confined spaces to carry out inspections.• Coordinated all NDT activities alongside the on-duty manager.• Assisted in quality control responsibilities for all welding.
