Medical Sales Representative

The supervised industrial field attachment of the university was at a Nakuru Level 6 Hospital [Rift Valley Provisional Hospital], the opportunity enabled me to apply and put what has been learned in class into practice. This exposed me to work methods not taught in the class, and practical procedures following the standard operating procedures manual used in laboratories. During my attachment, I was able to employ several methods to collect these data on various aspects of a hospital setup. First of all, observation was a key aspect of collecting this data. I was able to observe tests as they were being carried out by the laboratory technicians and then later I performed them under the guidance and supervision of a specialized laboratory technician. Reading manual scripts found in the hospital laboratory also assisted me in gaining more details on some tests that I used to perform in the laboratory. Listening was also a key element here as some technicians willingly taught me about the fundamental principles of some machines that we used in the laboratory. Listening, writing, observing, and carrying out the tests myself were the main methods I employed in data collection, sample collection, and storage.
