As an undergraduate student, I invested my time in providing legal services to the immigrant community of Monterey County with an internship and subsequent fellowship position with the United Farm Workers Foundation (UFWF) located in Salinas. The legal experiences attained within the UFWF have had an everlasting professional and personal impact on my aspirations. Not only did I help the UFWF with their document filing, community outreach, legal workshop affairs, and N-400 questionnaires (along with other forms), but the UFWF also helped me to solidify my personal interest in the legal field by allowing me to gain a hands-on experience of their legal affairs. The community members that I assisted at the UFWF reminded me of my parents and community members that I was raised along with in Orange County, this component of my experience aspired me to return to my community and offer my legal services within my cherished locality.
