I am a trained coach and mediator as I wanted to find different ways to help others build their confidence, and self-esteem, manage conflict and restore relationships. I provide racial equity coaching, workplace mediation support from a racial equity lens for HR teams and ERG groups, and leaders.I’ve also dedicated most of my working life to serving the needs of disadvantaged adults, children, and disabled people.From being a Nurse and a Care Worker back in the early 80s, to a long-standing career as a Social Worker working in a variety of public organizations, my energy is always focused on providing support and encouragement to help people maximize their strengths and live fulfilling lives. I started FindMyPA.Care is a way of doing more to help the thousands of people in the UK who have made a conscious decision to take control of their own support. There is advice and guidance for sure, but it lacks real-life application and is steeped in traditional methods of finding, recruiting, and retaining Personal Assistants. Things have moved on and disabled and older people deserve to have access to the latest thinking and guidance to help them make better decisions.As well as flying the flag for disabled people, I am a mother of four children and I have four grandchildren. They are perfect recipients for the many jumpers and blankets I knit during my spare time.After getting my first degree in my 30s, I’ve pretty much received a new Masters Degree every decade since then. It’s a standing joke in my family that I’ll be studying well into my 90s.
