After 3 years of experience as responsible of the Instrumentation Department at IHCantabria - CCOB, and the background on team management at ACORDE, on August 2014 I took the leadership of the Hydraulics, Coastal and Offshore Laboratory.

I am a Telecomunicacions Engineer, with background in wireless sensor technologies, smart sensor networks and signal processing, and I am responsible for the Instrumentation, Electronics and Signal Acquisition systems within the Cantabria Coastal and Ocean Basin facilities of the IH Cantabria. This means that I am in charge of the selection, set-up, deployment and checking of the devices that measure forces, pressures, positions, and other physical properties of any test model in the… Show more I am a Telecomunicacions Engineer, with background in wireless sensor technologies, smart sensor networks and signal processing, and I am responsible for the Instrumentation, Electronics and Signal Acquisition systems within the Cantabria Coastal and Ocean Basin facilities of the IH Cantabria. This means that I am in charge of the selection, set-up, deployment and checking of the devices that measure forces, pressures, positions, and other physical properties of any test model in the laboratory. Many different kinds of transducers, or sensors, are used for hydraulic, mechanical and wind measurements. I am also responsible for interfacing the transducers to the data acquisition system, as well as the development of software tools able to record and show the measured signals. Tasks related with calibration and checking procedures are also one of my duties in the lab. I have additional responsibilities in my job that also include modernizing existing sensor set-up systems, design and development of custom sensors, video non-intrusive systems and automatic validation procedures for recorded data.
