My role as CTO of Bnext is to steer the company's technological strategy, translating the board's and executive committee's vision into a tactical approach to be implemented by the technology teams. In my role, I am part of the fundraising management presentations, where I present to active and potential investors the company's technology strategy in order to secure funding.During my tenure I have grown the technology team from three people to over thirty staff across mobile, data, development and infrastructure. Other key achievements: we delivered the Mexico launch project in just 14 weeks, and I was part of the three-person team that obtained Bnext's Spanish electronic money issuer license in 14 months, the fastest license awarded by the regulator in Spain to date.

• Enforced resilience policies & testing calendars across 16 countries. • Managed a technical delivery team of 22 staff based in Europe and India to support the development of in-country resilience programs (business continuity plans, building power-downs and branch continuity tests). • Planned and managed the Spanish branch divestment, leveraging agile methodologies to deliver 18 months of work within 3.5 months and realizing 40% of savings in headcount, contract and supply.

• Managed a €2.2M budget and a team of 19 in Spain and Portugal. • Took over central contract vendor negotiations, leading to a 20% cost reduction with no impact on performance KPIs. • Delivered all Bank of Spain regulatory reporting with a 100% compliance. • Managed Europe-wide IT transformation projects.

Managed the largest acquisition in the history of the finance industry between RBS and ABN AMRO (combined £1.9 trillion in assets) • Managed all technology aspects of the merger (people, processes, systems), leading to a new organization of 330 employees in Spain and 30 in Portugal. • Unified regulatory reporting platforms.

Successfully set up a new branch within a €400K budget and within schedule: • Met with regulators to develop a thorough understanding of compliance requirements affecting operations, reporting and systems. • Met with local vendors to secure compliance with local legal requirements regarding data protection, anti-money laundering and Politically Exposed Persons. • Set up branch infrastructure (office building equipment). • Set up a remote support desk with 120 staff members based in India.

• Set up IT support for the Madrid branch (65 employees). • Hired and managed 2 Support Engineers. • Designed and implemented new processes to support users from the trading floor, corporate and back office on approx. 100 systems.
