    I had may roles in this Dept. From working the greeter desk being first point of contact/exposure to whatever germs/illness, even mental illness comes in the door. I had to juggle getting patients registered before they’re discharged, verify coverage all while stopping the process to get a critical patient that just came in by ambo on the board obtain correct medical record labels and wristbands, have patient verify, to then go back to finish registering and in almost all cases would have 3-4 back to back Ambos’come in. This alone shows my multitasking skills.• Somethings are just not teachable like compassion, having a sense of urgency, caring, dealing with family members of a patient that died and having to be that person going into the grieving family room asking for insurance. Being on alert all the time, security is not next to us 24/7. Being able to juggle getting a patient registration done and in the middle an Ambo with a cardiac arrest is coming in or a John Doe and no one can start anything until I have the patient band and labels That corresponds with that patients medical record in they’re hands...if the wrong record was chosen it could end up in life or death as each record has complete medical history/drug allergies one person doesn’t have and this person either the same name does could result in death. I can work well under pressure in stressful, high adrenaline environments and thrive.Advanced Basic Clerical - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and the ability to manipulate spreadsheets, databases, and publication softwareEnsures that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center.
