Our winery has always focused on producing award-winning, absolutely delicious wines handcrafted from locally grown wine grapes (and wine made from Vinifera grapes brought in from out of state, like Cabernet and Chardonnay). After 5-years in that community the winery was forced to move out of the building we started in. With limited options, we relocated to a facility in Verona Wisconsin. While the area we moved into was *much* slower to develop than originally expected, we were once again approaching the business breakeven point. Then COVID hit. We lost most of our 2020 summer and fall sales and with the slow winter months approaching, we made the agonizing decision to permanently close our doors for business. This was very sad and difficult for us. And it impacted many others, like you, our suppliers, investors, business partners, and more.But to the 8,000 people who "liked" us on Facebook, the many more who avidly followed our website, and of course to the tens of thousands customers who visited us each year, there is a glimmer of hope. We may no longer be a winery in Mount Horeb or Verona, but the winery's original owner will soon be making the same great wine at a new start-up winery being built just outside Madison. The label won't say "Fisher King Winery", but the libation in the bottles will be crafted with the very same attention to detail - as you have come to appreciate before!
