About Alysia Ramirez

I am a San Jose State graduate who has obtained a BA of Sociology. My goal is to continue to learn more about society and how people work in order to help any company I work for be more personable and meaningful. I currently work for the City of San Jose as a Recreation Supervisor. My role in the department is the System Administrator and team manager for our departments registration system, support of the Citywide fitness program, and team lead for the Citywide Leisure Team. Managing the departments registration system allows me to play a major role in the success of the 10th largest U.S. City’s’ Parks and Recreation Department. I help operations run smoothly and I am always looking on where we can improve. My position allows me to work with all personnel levels throughout the department and I have obtained a wealth of knowledge. I take great pride in my work and this is why coworkers come to me for guidance or assistance. I feel they are comfortable asking me for help because I am approachable, and I focus on being a team player.
