Over the past eight years, I’ve found the perfect apex where my passion meets my talents in the worlds of yoga, education and lifestyle coaching. I specialize in providing self-driven action plans via one-on-one coaching with the ultimate goal being sustainable behavior changes. In addition to working with adults to promote strength & balance training, I work specifically with children by integrating yoga movement & meditation, mindfulness and child development to advance gross motor activity through movement play and literacy development. My passion for movement can be traced back to my childhood. As a child athlete, I often enjoyed physical activities as a way of exploring the world. Teaching is my gift, I started my career in the path of education, and quickly discovered that the combination of the two was where I wanted to be; from kinesthetic learner, to kinesthetic teacher. The path to point in my career started by taking one yoga class in my undergraduate studies on the philosophy of yoga. It was in this course that I was able to make the connection between how this practice could encourage character building, social emotional learning, in the classroom and culture of learning. I enjoy helping students overcome challenges, develop balance technique, and incorporate the skills into their academic and every day lives. Outside of the classroom I am committed to teaching and sharing yoga with the community, offering adult and group classes as well. I enjoy being active even in my spare time, hiking, traveling to new places off the beaten path, and experiencing culture through food and music! I’m very creative, so my kitchen is where I like to create some magic in the with new recipes! Breaking bread is one of my favorite ways to get to know people.
