Born in Bennington, Vermont and currently in San Diego, CA, Alyssa Clark thrives on competing in the gnarliest and toughest races she can find. Her greatest passion is mountain running and she is working to become the best 100+ mile runner both racing and for long distance trail adventures she can be. She is also a multisport athlete with interests in winter adventures including large mountain link ups through ski mountaineering, alpinism and ice climbing with her husband. Alyssa has been coaching athletes for the last four years with a stint instructing at the Naval Fitness Facilities in Naples, Italy and now for Uphill Athlete. She is also the Uphill Athlete podcast producer, podcast cohost and a primary coach for training groups. In her own career as a professional trail runner, she has won the 2023 Canyons 100 UTMB Major, placed 11th at UTMB 2024, won the HURT 100 and placed second overall with the second fastest female time in course history in Jan, 2023. She also won the Moab 240 and placed 3rd overall in 2022, she has run 95 Marathons in 95 Days setting a Women’s Guinness World Record for consecutive days running a marathon distance as well as being the first woman to set a Supported FKT record on the 350 mile Pinhoti trail. She has also won the Ouray 100 and set an FKT on the Lone Pine to Mount Whitney Summit via the Mountaineer’s Route. She has run and competed all over the world and seeks to take on the most challenging ultras across the globe. Her deepest passion in ultra running is 100+ mile mountain races and adventures. She is also committed to empowering women to get out into uncomfortable spaces and seeks to provide a community and support with coaching and mentoring. She strives to help others feel they have the fitness, knowledge, resources and community to take on any adventure whether it is running, fitness or another form of endurance adventuring.
