As Procurement Officer II I served as the senior procurement officer on staff. In addition to the duties in the role of Procurement Officer, I took on the supervisory role of the staff and daily operations of the Procurement department when our manager was out of the office. I assisted the team with any items needed for review or advice regarding policies or procedures. I also co-instructed County Procurement Training around 6 times a year.

I also reviewed and processed Purchase requisitions up to $25,000 and acted as the point of contact for vendors by sending out Purchase Orders. In addition I was in charge of our Internship program; I partnered with Boise State to share our program with Supply Chain students and accepted applications. I then worked with the Procurement team and organized interviews and acted as the main contact for the intern each semester.

As the Buyer for Ada County, I was responsible for Goods and Service quote projects under $25,000. I assisted the procurement officers in large Bid, RFP, RFQ, and Public Works projects. I also approved and processed small county requisitions daily and sent out purchase orders to vendors. I assisted our clients on obtaining quotes on various items and making good purchase decisions. I maintained project files and archives as well as updated the external and internal website. In addition I was responsible for various special projects and special events such as the Annual Vendor Fair and surplus disposition.
