I established new and enhanced existing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs for commercial clients, supporting data-driven change and integrating strategic decision-making with relevant risk information. Additionally, I designed and implemented change management plans and strategic communication strategies to facilitate organization-wide adoption of new programs and procedures. I developed project plans and execution roadmaps, taking into account resources, timelines, and deliverables. To track risks and progress on priority initiatives, I created Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for executive meetings and Board of Directors reporting. Furthermore, I developed an Emerging Risk process and assessment methodology to supplement existing ERM capabilities by identifying and analyzing trends and uncertainties.

I managed simultaneous workstreams to enhance client programs by developing communications plans, identifying and implementing process improvements, and creating executive dashboards. I built and delivered training sessions for clients and Deloitte practitioners on topics such as ERM 101, ERM 201, Implementing Risk Appetite, and Integrating Budget, Performance, and Strategy. Additionally, I guided clients in integrating ERM processes into their strategic planning and annual budgeting processes. I also designed and led workshops with clients to conduct strategic ideation and align on concrete next steps.

I served as the Program Manager of the Task Force on Extremism in Fragile States, communicating with and coordinating information for multiple high-level stakeholders and managing relationships with officials across the U.S. Government and non-government experts and practitioners. I managed a $1.5 million budget for the Task Force and provided in-depth research and analysis of reports and events pertaining to foreign policy. I also wrote articles, letters of invitation, event language, and managed all logistical aspects of Global Policy events.

I conducted research on current legislation and occasionally served as the Legislative Correspondent. In addition, I wrote letters to constituents, answered phone calls, and led capitol tours.

I wrote articles detailing international events pertaining to the changing security landscape in Balkan nations for the Operational Environment Watch, distributed Department of Defense-wide. I drafted and edited reports, minutes, and public information regarding the EU-Return and Reintegration in Kosovo project.

I wrote drafts of official correspondence from Minister of Foreign Affairs Enver Hoxhaj to dozens of his counterparts regarding issues of international recognition and cooperation. I also researched and drafted the Ministry’s document on economic diplomacy to guide future economic policy and conferences as well as edited official statements of Minister Hoxhaj, including his speech regarding the current situation in Kosovo to the UN Security Council’s 6872nd meeting.

I conducted research on property rights for children in common law systems, psychological trauma for refugees, and land rights issues in Liberia, Kosovo, and Uganda. I also supported the International Relations Department Chair in leading classroom discussions in the professor’s absence.

I led management of logistics for the Secretary of State’s Tunisia Partnerships Forum in November 2011, attended by 21 Tunisian entrepreneurs, over 70 Arab American investors, and 160 leading U.S. investors and businesses three weeks after Tunisia’s first democratic elections. In doing this, I helped foster the creation of business in Tunisia through the Tunisia Partnerships Forum, an event the Tunisan Ambassador called “truly historic." I also wrote weekly memos for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regarding activities of the Office of the Global Partnership Initiative and drafts of official correspondence from President Barack Obama to Prime Minister Revep Erdoğan for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit attended by Vice President Joe Biden. I provided research for Special Representative for Global Partnerships Kris Balderston and wrote talking points, researched economic data, and developed partnership concepts in support of Partners for a New Beginning, the Secretary’s flagship public-private partnership in the MENA region

I provided research and aided data management for a Senior Policy Analyst, as well as responded to ITA’s international constituents on matters pertaining to the organization’s activities.
