I have been in the healthcare industry for ten years. I became a nurse assistant after High School, providing home health care for children with disabilities. I wanted to advance in my career and worked for an assisted living facility for a year. I then advanced my experience as a nurse assistant on the Med-Surg floor at Elliot Hospital. Upon receiving my Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science specializing in Medical Laboratory Science, I went into Research and Development for a year, testing medical devices. I furthered my career at LSNE as a QC Microbiologist performing a variety of tests, such as Environmental Monitoring, water sampling, testing, and raw material sampling. Now I am currently working at Pfizer as a QC Scientist I in the microbiology department.
