Research Analyst
Current• Support the union’s strategic direction through research for internal bargaining and external organizing campaigns• Collaborate with negotiators to analyze financial reports, hospital budgets, health insurance plans, and industry trends to inform contract bargaining strategies•Provide detailed cost analyses, financial assessments, and insights on contract settlements to strengthen negotiations• Serve as the lead researcher for smaller bargaining unit tables, taking ownership of research deliverables and guiding negotiation efforts• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including reviewing corporate reports, policy documents, surveys, and membership data• Develop reports, memos, white papers, presentations for union leadership, negotiators, and public audiences• Identify strategic opportunities through industry research to shape organizing campaigns• Train staff and bargaining teams on research methodologies, equipping them with tools to effectively analyze financial data and industry trends to strengthen their contracts• Participate in civic actions, demonstrations, and voter engagement initiatives as needed
