The Make Room Mentorship Program connects young professionals, students, and recent graduates interested in learning about careers in national security and foreign policy with experienced mentors in the field. Selected participants are paired with national security professionals who offer tailored guidance and support. Throughout the program, Make Room facilitates networking sessions, professional development workshops, and provides advice on navigating networking opportunities, ensuring participants maximize their mentorship experience for personal and professional growth.

Participated in the 2024 CLS Program in Busan, South Korea at Pusan National University (PNU) and completed Korean class 3 out of 4.

The CSIS Policy Fellowship is a semester-long program designed to empower undergraduate students from historically marginalized backgrounds who are interested in contributing to the national security community. During my fellowship, I collaborated with my teammates to deliver a 10-minute presentation on USAID’s localization efforts in emerging economies to an audience of 15, and provided policy recommendations.

Primarily focused on outreach and general advising to UMD students. Worked closely with Education Abroad's team of global learning advisors to support activity to recruit students in different majors and support students early in their exploration of study abroad opportunities.

I participated in the Maureen Mansfield Trilateral Youth Empowerment Program, which aimed to foster more inclusive democracies in Japan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), and the United States by amplifying youth voices in policymaking and empowering young women to take a more active role in politics. I collaborated with young women from Japan and South Korea, and co-developed a policy brief on women's mental health in STEM, which we presented to a group of professionals on Capitol Hill.

Participated in a rigorous academic graduate-level preparation program for undergraduate juniors committed to public service careers. As part of the JSI curriculum, I completed coursework in economics, statistics, social policy, and national security, all designed to enhance students' quantitative, analytical, and communication skills. For the program’s capstone project, I collaborated with three classmates to develop and deliver a 10-minute presentation on China’s Foreign Direct Investment in Africa, incorporating data visualizations using R and microeconomic analysis.

Participated in a selective and prestigious six-week summer program where I had the opportunity to complete courses on international economics, U.S. national security, and writing while attending professional development workshops and meeting professionals in government agencies, NGOs, think-tanks, and private companies.

Engaged in a virtual career development program to provide students with the tangible steps necessary to establish a career in international affairs. I learned from early and seasoned professionals, networked with likeminded peers, and received individualized application assistance.

Worked closely with the short-term program's advisor at the Education Abroad office to answer student questions and promote short-term programs to students. I also tracked short-term program enrollment statistics for students and faculty member's short-term program applications for the winter, spring, and summer terms.

Served as a student assistant at TerpZone in UMD’s Stamp Union, where I provided front desk support, assisted customers with accessing games, and resolved issues related to gaming systems and technical problems related to bowling alleys.

As an education intern at ForeFront Charity, I worked on a project emphasizing the importance of girls' education at the charity's school in Andhra Pradesh, India. I conducted research on the barriers to girls' education by interviewing local community leaders and developed three lesson plans for elementary school teachers on fostering a growth mindset versus a fixed mindset. At the conclusion of my internship, I delivered a 15-minute presentation to staff members on the importance of girls' education.
