While a graduate student at GMU, I taught two classes per semester of Composition Writing, Creative Writing, Literature, and Poetry. I was responsible for all course planning and execution, from developing lesson plans and syllabi, to creating activities and assignments, I fulfilled the classroom expectations of a University professor.

As a graduate student at George Mason University, I received my Master's of Fine Arts in Poetry. While a graduate student, I also tutored in the GMU Writing Center and taught English courses to undergraduates.

At MicroStrategy, I focused on using market research to make strategic decisions about the direction of our business as it related to MicroStrategy's disruptive new security offering -- Usher.My duties varied and included activities such as creating marketing content, building business cases, creating technical RFPs, conducting market research, and advising leadership on decisions of technical and strategic importance.

In this role, I performed a wide variety of analysis, planning, and budgeting tasks to promote a cohesive vision for operating plans across all business units. For example, in this role I undertook in depth process analysis and system infrastructure planning to ensure that all teams were maximizing their productivity. I worked closely with the sales team, acting as a liaison between sales representatives in the field and executives at headquarters.I've written detailed business case documents, based on thoughtful and factual analysis.

As a member of the People Operations Team, I applied Palantir's vision and mindset to all things People. I addressed a large variety of people challenges across the organization daily, from new hire on-boarding, to benefits and perks.Key Duties included:- sole People Operations (POPS) member supporting an office of 220 people in Tyson's Corner, VA- managed all east coast perks- responded to all benefits questions in a timely and accurate manner- maintained relationships with all external vendors (related to perks and benefits)- was an approachable resource for support and guidance to all employees- ran new hire on-boarding activities from prior to start date through "indoc" (first 3 weeks)

Wrote critical grant proposals, such as the sustainability section of a proposal to the European Commission.Provided research support for the legal team on cases of human rights violations against Burmese migrants.Created a database of reports and wrote reports on the status of constituent Burmese communities.Taught a report-writing seminar to 15 employees to establish enduring use of the database.
