Benefits Analyst
In May 2021, I was promoted to the role of Benefits Analyst. I continue to report to the Director of Benefits and some notable milestones have included: - Successfully merged Puerto Rico benefits processing into the U.S. workflow - Ran and successfully launched the Certification Assistance Program project in August of 2021 - Tested, demoed, updated communications, and launched the new UI for the Workday benefits module for all employees in September 2021- Completed the benefits training and onboarding for an acquisition of approximately 140 employees in March 2022

Since November of 2016, I have supported alongside the Director of Benefits, the administration of our Health & Welfare and 401k plans for approximately 3500 employees. Milestones include: - Implemented and successfully deployed a new HRIS and a benefits enrollment module, along with a new third-party benefits administrator in just 9 months with a team of two. - Successfully integrated a Canadian team with little knowledge of their regulations, benefits, and practices and made it seamless to the new hires. - Recognized the need to outsource our Tuition Assistance program, and successfully researched top companies in the industry, and led the outsource process to fruition and deployment. Today, managing the overall program and working on expanding this program to include certifications.- Successfully created and launched "Wellness Wednesdays" for our employees, which takes places the 3rd Wednesday of every month, and is a time for our employees to take a break from their jobs and focus on wellness themed webinar. - Successfully created and launched "Wellness Week", which is a whole week focused on just that - wellness!
Human Resources Representative, Operations
Upon my return to Cengage, the year and a half back in this role was experience that I wish everyone in the HR Operations or even on the HR Business facing teams could have. It was covered such a depth of information. At the time, we utilized Ceridian HPL as our HRIS system and learning that system on the back end was a whole role in itself. In this role we were the "go to" person for employee policy questions, HR Business Partner questions, correcting data errors, auditing data daily, IT troubleshooting, maintained our digital e-files, severance calculations, and during my tenure we also assisted with 2 acquisitions. I absolutely loved this role and the knowledge and experience that I gained during this time.
Talent Coordinator
During my year with SEI, I expanded my talent and recruiting skills. Some of my milestones included: - Successfully editing and updating their monthly newsletter that went out to their location members. - Piloted and successfully kicked off their Sourcing role. Myself and the two other Talent Coordinators added on the role of "Sourcer" into our daily jobs for a month to see if it could be successful. We were successful in our duties, and the VP of Talent was able to argue a full-time role out of our pilot program.
Recruiter
During my almost year as a Recruiter, I dug into this role and learned about different areas of the business that I was unfamiliar with. I supported the Legal, Finance and Technology teams and their roles along with some other smaller groups. During this time when I had a role to fill that I was unfamiliar with, I would have a pre-hire meeting with my hiring manager to get to know more about the role and what important characteristics they were looking for in a candidate. If there was ever any downtime (which was not often) I also partook in job shadowing in those roles that I filled often. This was a tremendous help in filling those roles. To get to know the job in more of a day-to-day aspect, what the role really entailed was priceless. I also met regularly with my HR Business Partners to keep them abreast of the roles I was working on, their status, and where they may be able to assist in moving things along.
Human Resources Coordinator
This was the position where I found my passion and love for Human Resources. In this role I supported the Executive Director of HR and the Sr. HR Manager and together we supported the entire Sales Force. This was my first experience into the HR world, and I jumped in quickly. I took courses like "Intro to the HR Assistant" and "HR Management I" and "HR Management II" and a few other HR legal courses along the way to keep abreast on the laws and guidelines of an HR professional. During this tenure, E-Verify was implemented and we had to figure out how to get our remote Sales team taken care of with this new system. We also moved from a paper filing system to an e-records system, which I helped launch at our location. We worked through many Sales team re-structuring exercises.
